Claims Mitigation

Lack of timely resolution of project changes or utilization of resources, often leads to project disputes. These disputes may be either active or silent during the conduct of the work. Early mitigation of disputes leads to the most cost-effective resolution. Often a third party facilitator, such as WMA, can be employed to improve communications and develop a plan to achieve agreement. Prior to substantial completion of the work, a thorough review of all change orders, unresolved issues and back-charges should be reviewed with the objective of achieving agreement and completing the necessary releases/documentation.

WMA has assisted owners, engineers/architects, contractors and subcontractors in improving communications on problematic issues and establishing the basis for cost effective resolution, thereby preventing costly legal action.
